Today I want to speak about some things about the big apple :)

Also call New York City or NYC, New York is most big city of the United States. It is the third most big city of the American continent behind Mexico City and São Paulo. 

yeah now we know the other name of this big city... but where it is ? New York is situated in the northeast of the United States on the Atlantic Coast.

 We ALL, yes I say ALL, know this beautiful city for somethings. and I think that if you don't know New York, you're an alien !! XD

This city is know for a lot of things:

the world trade

the media

the fashion

the technology

and also the finance, the art, the education, the entertainment...

New York during its creation

New York was established in the south point of the island of Manhattan, where extends the business district (Wall Street).

The city developed in the XIXth century in the North (Bronx, beyond the black district of Harlem), extending beyond on New Jersey beyond Hudson and on the nearby islands: Long Island (districts of Brooklyn and Queens, beyond East River) and Staten Island ( Richmond).

An important city

New York is a very big port, an air and railroad knot, an industrial area and especially tertiary sector (businesses, administrations, tourism).
Cosmopolitan city, New York constitutes one of the big metropolises of the world by its demographic weight, the volume and the variety of its industrial production, especially maybe by its financial power (which Wall Street is a symbol) and its cultural brilliance.

The city is the seat of the United Nations Organization (UNO) since 194

Why this name ?

 An Italian sailor in the service of king of France, Giovanni da Verrazzano, discovers the bay in 1524. But it is the Dutch people who, in 1626, buy to the Indians for 24 dollars the island of Manhattan and build a village there, The Piece of news-Amsterdam(Short story-Amsterdam) (in Dutch Nieuw-Amsterdam). It counts by 1660 one thousand inhabitants who give her a cosmopolitan character. In 1664, it falls to the hands of the English people, which, in honor of the brother of Charles II, baptize it New York.
